Sir Terry Pratchett died today.
For anyone who doesn't know, he was the author of over 40 books, many in the Discworld series, a epic comedic fantasy. It's one of my favorite series (though I haven't read every book yet).
He released the last book, Raising Steam, last summer. It's the third part of a trilogy about my favorite character in the series, Moist Von Lipwig (pronounced Lip-Vig). I haven't read it yet, as I only finished re-reading a related, but not part of the trilogy book, Thud!
It's a complex series.
There's another book that's supposed to come out this autumn, but I have no idea if that's still happening. It's probably close to being finished, if not done already, so we may get one last volume.
This has been a trying week, between work and the death of two of my favorite old guys. The players exit, but the fantasy remains. It's just a little more paint on cardboard than sculpted set.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a spinning disc on four elephants on a giant turtle to think about.
