Night of the Living Dead was, and is, the best Zombie movie.
But have you ever actually sat down and watched it all the way through? At least as an adult? It's not like it's hard, the film is public domain and is available for $1 at your local Dollar Tree, usually. Or on compilations of it and much worse movies.
My love for this movie goes beyond the simple horror, though it has that in spades.
I love the human element. The unintended racial commentary. The struggle of man against man, not just man on beast. The best horror movies are about more than defeating monsters: they are about defeating the evil of humanity.
Do yourself a favor: find a little time this spooky season and follow Barbara into that old farmhouse and the horror within.
